Each stage in the sales funnel narrows the pool of qualified prospects, allowing businesses to focus on the people most likely to buy their products and services. In the first phase, a prospective customer discovers your business and the products or services you offer.

This is often done through a Google search or an advertisement.
Once the prospect discovers your business, they need to know why they should choose your product or service over others. This is the awareness phase, when the prospect becomes aware of their problem and begins looking for solutions. The goal is to make your potential customer realize they need your solution and convince them that your business is the best choice to solve their problem.

As the prospective customer continues to move down your sales funnel, they will be disqualified if they aren’t a good fit for your business. This is when a business can begin offering discounts, free trials, and other incentives to entice customers to stay in the funnel and become repeat buyers.

Once a prospect reaches the bottom of your sales funnel, you want them to continue buying from you and to recommend you to their friends and family. The best way to keep this relationship going is through recurring communication, such as emails featuring new promotions and information about your product or service. You can also offer rewards to your current customers in order to keep them coming back.
